Submission Guidelines

1. Only original, unpublished work (1000-1800 words)

  • Please don’t submit articles already published on your blog or elsewhere.

2. Be relevant and insightful

3. Fluent, readable and error-free

  • Content must be written in high-level, error-free, and fluent English.

  • Break up your content, so it’s easy to read. This means including headings, subheadings, bullets, and any other visual elements to increase the readability of your piece.

  • Write in a natural, conversational tone.

  •  Don’t shy away from showing off your sense of humor.

  • We’re all grown, so feel free to talk about your grown woman stories in an open and frank manner.

  • Talk about your real-world experience. Talk about mistakes you’ve made, lessons learned and dreams achieved. Draw on your own personal experience to speak authoritatively about what you know.

  • Take a position. If you disagree with common wisdom on a topic, talk about why the mainstream point of view is wrong or misleading. Back up your perspective with facts. Take screenshots. Include interesting data. Support your arguments with external references.

  •  Take the most direct route to your points, use your natural voice, and avoid unnecessary filler words.

  • Don't sacrifice depth for the sake of brevity. Instead of trying to hit a specific word count, focus on clear, in-depth explanations.

  • Always include a conclusion.

  • When including images, gifs, or screenshots, cite the image source as: “Image source” and hyperlink that text with the page you found the image on.

4. Please don’t include promotional content or links to your product or service. Content should be useful and compelling to the reader – not self-serving.

5. Give facts, examples, and practical tips

  • Where applicable, focus your article on real-world trends and tips. Back up your claims with source links.

  • Always name your sources. For example, If you’re going to drop some statistics, link back to the original source.

Tip: Copy and paste your post into Grammarly, to catch sneaky misspellings, grammatical errors, and extra spaces.
