A lot of locals were so curious about her roots and knew nothing much about Jamaica, so Theresa started hosting dinners from her apartment so that she can share more about the food, ingredients, and culinary traditions of Jamaica. She has established a business with the name La Xaymaca and due to the pandemic she offers takeaway, cooking classes, catering, and flourishing in the foreign gracefully.
