Moving Abroad with a Family & Having a Baby Abroad with Deanna Denham
SEASON 1 EPISODE 2 |Flourish in the Foreign - Black Women Living & Thriving Abroad
In this episode of Flourish in the Foreign, Deanna Denham shares how she moved to Hong Kong with her husband and first child (then a baby), the process of securing a job in Hong Kong as a creative professional, how much it cost to give birth abroad to her second child, how she was accidentally tear-gassed during the Hong Kong riots and how living abroad has afforded her the time and resources to practice deep self-care and even start a podcast.
Did you know that the average cost to give birth in the United States is $10,808? That figure balloons to $30,000+ when prenatal & postnatal care are factored into the cost. [Source]
